A place where stories spark faith, healing, and courage.
Camp Faithful Heart is a Christ-centered story experience where kids journey alongside seven unique characters—Ervin, Tess, Jace, Tavi, Gente, Eli, and Naomi—who’ve been chosen for Cabin 12. Together, they face real-life challenges, uncover biblical truths, and help others find healing and hope in God’s love.
Through their adventures, young readers grow emotionally and spiritually, see themselves in relatable heroes, and discover how God’s Word speaks to fear, doubt, and identity. Camp Faithful Heart isn’t just a story—it’s a safe place where kids feel known, grow in faith, and begin to understand that they’re never alone.
Eli is meticulous, focused, and always building something—whether it’s a miniature fort out of sticks, a birdhouse from camp scraps, or a plan to solve a problem. He loves blueprints, order, and seeing things fit together just right. He tends to speak in practical terms, asking “How can we fix this?” or “What’s the next step?” rather than diving into emotion.
But underneath that logical mind is a deeply loyal heart. Eli is learning that not everything can be fixed with a hammer or a plan. Sometimes, people need patience more than projects.
He’s slower to express emotions, but when he does, it comes with deep honesty. He has a dry sense of humor and an earnestness that makes people trust him.
Ervin is the kind of leader people don’t always notice at first—but once they do, they don’t want to follow anyone else. He’s not loud or flashy. He doesn’t bark orders. He just shows up—dependable, ready, and steady when others aren’t sure what to do.
At camp, he’s the one boiling water for cocoa before anyone else wakes up. He checks on everyone’s gear before a hike, not because he was asked—but because he cares. When conflict arises, Ervin listens more than he talks. Then, when the time is right, he says something that brings peace or clarity. His words carry weight because they’re rooted in trust.
Ervin’s faith is his internal compass. He trusts God’s direction even when the path is foggy, and he’s learning that real leadership means putting others first, especially when no one’s watching. He sometimes doubts if he’s doing enough—but he’s slowly discovering that faithfulness in small things is what makes a big difference.
Tess doesn’t rush. She doesn’t shout. And she doesn’t need to. When she speaks, even the loud kids stop and listen—not because she’s commanding, but because her words carry peace. She’s the kind of friend who notices the girl who’s quiet during games, the boy who skips dessert, or the way a friend fidgets during prayer time. She sees with more than her eyes. She listens with more than her ears.
Tess isn’t always the one to fix a situation—but she’s the one who creates space for healing to begin. Her prayers are woven with gentleness and wisdom beyond her years. She might sit in silence beside someone for ten minutes, then say just one sentence that opens the floodgates of a conversation. She believes deeply that God is near, even when it’s hard to feel Him, and that listening well is one of the most powerful forms of love.
She writes everything down. Her prayer journal is filled with carefully inked entries—some prayers for others, some poems, some simple observations like:
Naomi is the heart that beats quietly in the background, keeping the rhythm of grace alive. Her words are never rushed. She chooses them with care, like a painter selecting colors, making sure each one brings calm rather than confusion. She hums when she thinks, prays when others panic, and walks slowly on purpose—because she believes love is never in a hurry.
She senses emotional currents like others sense wind. If there’s unspoken hurt or hidden sadness, Naomi will feel it before it’s named. She has a gift for making others feel seen—often sitting beside someone without needing to say much at all. Just her presence brings a deep breath to those who need it.
Though she naturally avoids conflict, Naomi is learning a deeper lesson: that real peace isn’t passive. It’s bold. Sometimes peace has to be spoken, not just felt. She’s learning to stand with grace, to pray into tension, and to speak truth in love—becoming a peacemaker in the fullest sense.
Tavi is the kind of young man others instinctively follow, not because he demands it, but because he leads by serving. He doesn’t wait to be asked—he notices the need and steps in. Whether it’s hauling firewood, giving up his snack without hesitation, or quietly sitting next to a homesick camper, Tavi carries others’ burdens like they’re his own.
His courage isn’t loud, but it’s constant. He doesn’t fear difficulty—he runs toward it if it means protecting someone weaker or lifting someone lower. His faith is deeply rooted, the kind that says “I’ll go” even when the path is unclear. He believes Jesus didn’t come to be served, but to serve—and that means real strength looks like kneeling down, not standing over.
Jace lives with his head high and his heart wide open. He’s the kind of kid who laughs easily and shares joy freely, often the first to notice when someone needs cheering up. When things get heavy in Cabin 12, Jace is the one who lightens the mood—not by ignoring what’s wrong, but by reminding everyone that there’s still beauty, still laughter, still hope.
He believes in happy endings, even when the middle of the story looks messy. Whether it’s a scraped knee or a broken plan, he’s the kid who says, “That’s okay! We’ll make it better!” and means it with every ounce of his little frame.
He’s not naive. Jace knows about hard things—his family has weathered storms of their own—but he believes with childlike faith that God never leaves, even in the dark. His hope isn’t shallow. It’s deep and contagious, like a song that keeps playing in the background, even when no one’s singing it.
Gente doesn’t talk often, but when he does, people find themselves leaning in. His voice is low and even, his words carefully chosen—not to impress, but to illuminate. He has a way of connecting what’s happening around him to a deeper truth, often quoting Scripture or quietly saying something like, “That reminds me of a story in Proverbs…”
He’s not the loudest voice in Cabin 12, but he might be the most trusted. Gente sees past the surface—past the jokes, the noise, the distractions—and looks right into the heart of a situation. He’s not quick to judge, but he’s not afraid to speak truth either. He believes that truth should be delivered with kindness, not heat. His lantern doesn’t blind—it guides.
Tuck isn’t the loudest presence at Camp Faithful Heart, but he might be the most constant. This shaggy Otterhound with kind eyes and a nose for hidden heartache is always nearby—sometimes at your feet, sometimes waiting by the door, always knowing when someone needs him most.
He doesn’t bark much. He doesn’t beg for attention. Instead, Tuck shows up—with a warm lean, a steady gaze, or a soft sigh beside your sleeping bag. The counselors say he has a gift: the ability to sense what can’t be seen.
He won’t fix your problem or offer advice. That’s not his way. But his presence says, “You’re not alone.” Whether it’s a homesick camper or a restless heart, Tuck is there—faithful, watchful, and quietly wise.
With every slow wag of his tail and every soft nudge, he reminds the kids of something simple but powerful: that love doesn’t always speak—it often just stays.
